love is a battlefield

Wednesday, October 05, 2005

so I was in my british lit class, and we were doing canterbury tales, and people having presentation about their characters, and this girl was presenting a wealthy nun character, and we were wondering why the nun is so compassionate towards small animal but tells a tale of the cruel slaughtering of jews. and here is my dear professor's comment about" do you not know somebody who might be born at newport or laguna beach, that is not fully capable of understanding human hardship, and to be compassionate about them?" it was jsut a quick comment, but I saw that girl who was presenting give this slightly unbelievable " what?!" look on her face. gosh I love it, the fact that a lot of people kinda agree with my professor's statement, and me, definitely against those laguna bitches, was like so happy to see that girl making that face. she is obviously one of those laguna bitch, oh god I love it.

oh and here is another one, for those of you who have a love for poetry, please read:
i like my body when it is with your... (VII)

i like my body when it is with your
body. It is so quite a new thing.
Muscles better and nerves more.
i like your body. i like what it does,
i like its hows. i like to feel the spine
of your body and its bones, and the trembling
-firm-smooth ness and which i will
again and again and again
kiss, i like kissing this and that of you,
i like,, slowly stroking the, shocking fuzz
of your electric fur, and what-is-it comes
over parting flesh....And eyes big love-crumbs,

and possibly i like the thrill

of under me you quite so new

for my feminists frd out there, dont you think it is exploitative, when we, woman are cut of into body part, when your/body are cut off into different lines, and finally that explicit description of a vagina, arent we much defined by that and was given most lines. and wat is new anyway, and why we have to be UNDER man. but anyway, my whole class was saying it is so romantic. and my dearest stephanie wells say it is one of her fav poems, and when i say i hate it she got all excited and say " what? dont you love sex?" and I was like " it is so exploitative!!" she was like" interesting! we got to talk about that!!" so we end up talking about how people have sex, and i end up feeling like a man hating feminist, but i m stil not convinced that it is romantic.....what do you think. the thing is, i would do a woman like that, but I wont write a poem like that to tell her how much i love her. anyway, i realise stephanie acutally look like a country singer, or one of the girls from antigone....her highlight look so good in brown clothes...
