love is a battlefield

Wednesday, May 11, 2005

There is a kind of love
That burns with an unearthly temperature
Yet extinguishes without a trace.
There is a kind of love
That destroys with immortal might
Yet produces mortals too weak to fight.
There is a kind of love
So pleasurable that it becomes a sin
So holy that we offer human sacrifices
Our blood smashed across history.
There is a kind of love
That grows in the deadliest desert
And furnishes in the dark.
It is always too strong to shatter
Yet so delicate like Adornis’ skin
So fine like Venus’s hair.
There is a kind of love
That you do not agree with
That you despise and curse
Spit upon and trample.
There is a kind of love
That is patient, and kind.
That always protect, always trust, always hopes
Always perseveres.
There is a kind of love.
