b4 everything, you must know that b4 independence, America was colonised by the British..

Virginia was named after Elizabeth I, the virgin queen( man...actually is it good to be remembered as a virgin FOREVER in history?)

Georgia was named after King George II

Philadelphia means Brotherly love in Greek

Pennsylvannia was named after a guy called WIllian Penn who acquire the land from the king, and Pennsylvannia means "Penn's Woodland".

New York was called New Amsterdam under Dutch rule and later on Duke of York took over, so it is called New York.
Los Angeles( this one i love most) means the city of angels in Spainish.

so far i only find these stuff interesting....
